This novella is about a few years in the life of a woman continually discovering the new. Loving change and adventure, she's already had more adventures than most people. Is this too much She finds a lying, but handsome and forceful, man. There is political infighting about sea turtle habitats and new eco-tours, as well as dope using beyond the functional level. Dive shop owners stingily pay their dive masters or instructors, if at all. The native people of the island can't forget their slavery past. She feels the pinch of always being in a Diaspora.
